Meet your fasting coach

I’m Lucy and I first came to fasting through chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer in 2021. After researching naturopathic and alternative approaches to treatment, I kept coming across fasting and this made sense to me.

Thanks to fasting, I had no side-effects through treatment, my tumor shrank by 40% and I kept almost all of my hair.

Fast-forward 4 years and my training alongside Dr Nasha Winters and her Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health and the College of Naturopathic Medicine, I know that fasting is one of the most powerful tools for our metabolic health.

It’s my mission to support women on their fasting journey, cut-through all of the fake news and enable you to take control of your blood sugar, cravings and energy.

Dr. Lori has over 15 years of experience in cancer care and has helped thousands of men and women overcome cancer and live a better quality of life. She’s an expert in the metabolic approach to cancer and has written two best-selling books on the topic. Dr. Lori ND is also a certified terrain expert and a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANO).

Tanja trained in The Metabolic Approach to Cancer in 2023 and now works as a Patient Advocate while running Terrain Health Retreats. A Breast Cancer Thriver since 2018, she brings years of hands-on experience with intermittent fasting, 1-10 day extended water fasts, diverse treatment modalities plus mental and emotional work. Blending her artistic background with her passion for food and healing, Tanja is about to launch “Cook it Like You Love it”—a joyful, practical Keto & Low Carb cookbook and cooking channel with online and in-person cooking sessions that celebrate nourishment as creative expression.

  • We can absolutely fast as women, we just need to be more careful with when we fast. We'll go through all of this in the course.

  • Done safely and strategically, fasting can help us lose any stubborn excess weight but ensuring we are eating a highly nutritious diet around our fasting windows will never make us underweight.

  • This programme is designed to set you up for fasting success, so we will start things off slowly and find a rhythm that works for you. This also includes lots of tips and tricks to help you not to feel overly hungry or have headaces.

  • Through a phenomenon called "hormesis", a small amount of intentional and controlled stress helps our bodies to build resilience. This is exactly how fasting works. When we switch to ketones as our fuel source vs. glucose, it signals to our body to switch into healing and repair mode. Through this course we'll work on a personalised fasting plan to get you started and set you up for long-term success without any stress.

  • Our mantra for all metabolic health tools is: test, asses, adress, don't guess. We will be using a blood glucose and ketones measuring device to check your baselines and then make a personalised fasting plan to balance your blood sugar and get you into ketosis, safely. We will also give you a tool-kit of tips and tricks for when you might be feeling headachey or hungry. Once you've completed the course you'll know exactly what to do!

  • Absolutely! Fasting is a powerful tool for our general metabolic health and you will reap the benefits whatever your health goals are. This course is not for you if you are pregnant, have a history of eating disorders or any unresolved trauma around food, eating or fasting.
